Salah Times is a small extension, and the answers below cover almost everything that can go wrong. If yours is not here, send a message.

Common questions

›The times are a minute or two different from my mosque

That is expected: mosques round their own timetable and follow their own method. Pick the method your mosque uses, then use the minute offsets in the settings to nudge any prayer by up to a quarter of an hour. The offsets apply to the list, the countdown and the reminders.

›The adhan does not play

Check three things: the adhan toggle is on in the settings, the volume slider is above zero, and your system volume is up. If you chose the short adhan you will only hear about twenty seconds. Chrome must be running for the reminder and the adhan to fire.

›No reminders appear at all

Open the settings and check that reminders are on for that prayer, and that Chrome and your operating system both allow notifications. On macOS, check System Settings, then Notifications, then Chrome. A reminder also needs the extension to be enabled; if you just installed it, pick your city first.

›My city is not found

Type the nearest larger town, or open the custom coordinates section and enter the latitude, longitude and time zone directly. Times are calculated from the coordinates, so any point on land works, down to a street address.

›Which calculation method should I choose

Karachi is the common choice in Pakistan and much of South Asia, Muslim World League in Europe and the Middle East, ISNA in North America, Umm al-Qura in Saudi Arabia, and Diyanet in Turkey. If unsure, follow your mosque. The method only changes Fajr and Isha angles, and sometimes Maghrib.

›What is stored, and how do I remove it

Your city, method, offsets, reminder choices, adhan settings and the prayers you marked as prayed, all in your own Chrome profile. Nothing is sent to us. Reset to defaults in the settings clears it, and removing the extension deletes it.
